What was the highlight of Grand China Hotel
Good
We initially booked a one-night stay through Booking.com, with the intention of extending our stay for two more nights upon arrival. However, when we inquired about booking the next two nights, we were informed that there were no rooms available at the same rate, forcing us to book at a significantly higher price for the second night. On the third night, the price quoted was almost double the initial rate. Feeling misled and upset by these price discrepancies, we informed the reception that we intended to check out. Only after this did they offer us a room at the original, lower rate for the third night, which made us feel like we were initially being taken advantage of. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing, as we felt we were being misled in an attempt to charge us higher rates without proper justification. As loyal customers, we expected more transparency and fairness in pricing.

Good
The service staff were great.
The cockroaches. My husband assured me they really aren't that big of a deal, but meeting one in your bathroom in the middle of the night wasn't pleasant for me. I felt like I had to put on shoes and announce myself before entering the bathroom for the rest of our stay

Value for Money accommodation
Location, staffs friendiness, nice breakfast and good housekeeping. I specially love the street food restaurant on the ground floor. Food was exceptionally good and value for money. Evening can also sip coffee and enjoy free karaoke singing.. Very family atmosphere. Hotel is within a short walk to the mrt where you can get to most part of Bangkok with the convenient interchange. One good example is you can get direct to chatuchat weekend market.
